NEW: songs from Inside
On February 13th and 14th, 2025 Juliano Aniceto will conduct two concerts, one at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, MD and at the Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC. The concert features Luigi Dallapiccola’s Canti di Prigionia [Songs from the Prison] and Elijah Daniel Smith’s Neither Persons nor Property (World Premiere), performed by the NEXT Ensemble (Beth Willer, Director of Choral Studies at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University), icarus Quartet, and students from the Peabody Institute.
The concert is presented by In the Stacks [Sam Bessen, curator], American Prison Writing Archive, and The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
